The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Marvin Sanford can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time. I have a lot of memories with Uncle Marvin from our trips back to North Platte through the years. He always made you feel so welcomed during our visits. He was a great card player and had to be very patient with me as his partner! I remember his love of Cornhusker football. I could relate to his opinions on unions but tried to avoid conversations about politics. Two subjects that he knew a lot about and had strong feelings to share:). I admired his desire to see so many of the Presidential libraries and his love of travel. Thank you for sharing his beautiful obituary. I'm sorry that I'll miss seeing all of my cousins at his funeral. We leave Friday for Hawaii. Please know that I'll be thinking of you on Saturday!
