Condolence From: Gary Sanford
Condolence: Marvin, who deep down loved and cared about everyone in a Sanford "style" sort of way, has departed for the Kingdom of God. Being the eldest son of Marvin's eldest brother, has given me a significant amount of time with Marvin during my maturation years, growing up as a nephew. All of my Uncles have departed but they all had a special place in my heart. I would pray that all cousins unite and embrace each other with compassion and love. We are all blessed to yet have Lucille, our Aunt in our presence. Love and forgiveness is essential for living up to what we have all been taught. I love all of our family and treasure the time we have left for each other. Gary Sanford

Condolence: Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time. I have a lot of memories with Uncle Marvin from our trips back to North Platte through the years. He always made you feel so welcomed during our visits. He was a great card player and had to be very patient with me as his partner! I remember his love of Cornhusker football. I could relate to his opinions on unions but tried to avoid conversations about politics. Two subjects that he knew a lot about and had strong feelings to share:). I admired his desire to see so many of the Presidential libraries and his love of travel. Thank you for sharing his beautiful obituary. I'm sorry that I'll miss seeing all of my cousins at his funeral. We leave Friday for Hawaii. Please know that I'll be thinking of you on Saturday!
