Cynthia Lynn Landenberger was born January 13, 1954, to Eugene and Betty (Valek) Dudgeon in Grand Island, NE. She graduated from Hebron High School in 1972 and married Terry Landenberger on October 6, 1978 at Papillion, NE. They moved to a farm north of Bradshaw NE, where they started their family. They later moved to Jackson, WY for a new adventure in the mountains, which quickly became a love of theirs. Family grew and grandkids came so they moved back to Nebraska to be closer to them.
Cindy’s pride and joy were her family and she cherished spending time with her grandkids. She loved summer camping trips with her family on Memorial Day weekend. Cindy was known for her love of gardening and her beautiful rose bushes. She was an amazing cook and baker and always made enough to feed an army. Her chocolate chip cookies were famous and all the kids fought over them. With Cindy, it didn’t matter if you were truly family or not, she greeted you with open arms and a smile and you were family.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband: Terry Landenberger of Lodgepole; sons: Shane Landenberger of Parker, CO and Adam Landenberger and wife Christina of Grand Island; a daughter: Jennifer Landenberger of Dix, NE and her special friend Justin Gunderson; daughter-in-heart: Alicia Murray of Parker; three grandsons: Nicolas Landenberger and Collin Landenberger of Parker, and Bryan Landenberger of Grand Island; one granddaughter: Christy Landenberger of Grand Island; her parents: Eugene and Betty Dudgeon of Hebron; brother: Michael Dudgeon and wife Dawn of Stromsburg NE; sisters: Jackie Nunnenkamp and husband Roy of Henderson, NE, Teresa Hofts and husband Roger of Loup City, NE, and Sandy Volf and husband Larry of Broomfield, CO; many nephews and nieces; as well as her two beloved dogs, Rascal and Alfie.
