Clinton Kesselring age of 73, of Sidney, NE died Monday, January 22, 2018 at Sidney Regional Medical Center in Sidney, NE.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, January 27th in The First United Methodist Church with Pastor Kelvin Boltjes of the Sidney Four Square Church and Pastor Corey Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Friday from 1-7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in care of the family for future designation. Clint was born November 24, 1944 in Sidney, NE. He attended school in Sidney and at age 18 he joined the United States Army where he served for 3 ½ years in Germany and was honorably discharged. After his discharge from the service he met and married his future wife, Loretta Mae Bauer on Sept 20, 1969. They were married at the United Methodist Church in Sidney and they had three children. They have spent a lifetime of building their family within Sidney.
Clint's first job was with his brother Leighton where they worked at the Standard Station in Lincoln, NE. He also worked at B&C Steel in Scottsbluff, the Phillips 66 Station in Sidney and then went to work at KN Energy Inc. for 35 yrs.
Clinton enjoyed swimming, being with his family, BBQ'ing, shooting pool, playing bingo and playing cards with friends. Clint's favorite saying was, "One life will soon be past only what done for Christ will last".
Clint was a special person who always went out of his way to help others. He showed kindness to all. He will lovingly be missed by his wife, Loretta Kesselring of 50 years; sisters, Lila Agena, Lorna Miller, Carolyn Chaon, and Cleo Frequez, and twin sister Carletta Anderson. Clint is also survived by sons Clinton, Jr., Luke and wife Marsha, granddaughter Kyndell and daughter Lisa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Edna Kesselring. Sister, Lula Gordon and Brother Leighton.
