The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Joan Olson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Memories

I have a lifetime of memories with you Joan. I will never forget it all started with a benifit spagetti feed you did for the animals. I was one of 3 volunteers that helped and you liked my work ethics so much that you hired me to be your "ontrapaneuer" at the Elks lodge where soon I became a member and we road the yearly Elks float in the parades. Show nights when we would escape diring the shows when the kitchen had to be silent and go to Dairy Queen for Oreo Blizzerds. You still enjoyed the blizzerd I brought you a couple months ago. You helped me grow into a responsible person Joan and even in your own way showed me how to be tough. I'll never forget, ever since about 2 years ago when Judy gave you a White Diamonds gift set for Christmas, I love the smell of it and you told me I could have a "spritz". Then after that every time I would come to clean  I would apply a "spritz" and tell you I had stole a spritz of your diamonds and you would respond " you cant steal what is given to you." I have oh so many memories with you Joan. I will always cherish the love you showed me and my love for you.
