Condolences

Condolence From: Robert (Bobby) Smith
Condolence: I didn't really know Mike that well since I was a bit younger. I know Brad and hung out with the wild ones from St. Pat's. I just wanted to let you know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Take care,

Bobby (Chappell, Ne)

Condolence: My deepest condolences to your family. I had the pleasure of having Mike as my roommate and close friend at WSC. When that man walked into a room everyone would be glad to see him. Everything was just better when he was around. I will miss his one of a kind laugh and genuine disposition. I hope you can find peace in knowing that your son was a kind and giving friend to many. RIP brother.

Condolence: My condolences to your family. I had the pleasure of spending a few years with Mike while in college as we both played linebacker together. That is how I met him but not how I remember him. Over 2 years I probably spent more time with Mike than anyone else. We practiced together, hung out together and anything else. I am from Wayne and my dad farmed so we went out there a lot to work. Funny story to share, it is odd but funny. We casterated pigs one day and Mike had the great idea of collecting some of the "leftovers" and he put them in an empty can of peanuts my dad had at the house. That night we had a little party and as people got hungry they saw the can and could not help but open the can to get some peanuts. The reaction on their faces when they saw what was in the can was priceless.

Mike was a great guy and I miss him daily. I really wish we would of been able to stay in touch over the years. He was the best of friends to so many. My prayers are with you.

Condolence From: Michael Wilson
Condolence: Another time, during spring break, we decided to take a little hike to Bowen Hall.. The campus was empty and SOME how the fire alarm was set off....... Needless to say, we spent a couple of hours the following week in Dr. Mash's (college president) office explaining why he should not kick us out of school.... I guess we did a good job selling him, and got banned from all dorms for the rest of the semester!!!! Tell his girl not to follow in our footsteps!!!!

Condolence: Mike ALWAYS wanted to win.. He always wanted to be first, always wanted to out work you... He would race you to the cafeteria, to the parking space, to the bathroom even... He would do ANYTHING to succeed. I remember sitting in his corner room in Bowen hall watching him play some stupid game on the Nintendo.. I would get bored and come back 3 hours later and he would STILL be playing it!!!
