Kay Lenore Glassburn, age 67 of Fullerton, NE and former Sidney resident, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Fullerton Care and Rehabilitation, formerly Golden Living, in Fullerton.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M.., Monday, June 18th in the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Dave Hall officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel to sign Kay’s register book and leave condolences for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kay’s name to the donor’s choice. You may view Kay’s Book of Memories, leave condolences, photos and stories at www.gehrigstittchapel.com.
Gehrig-Stitt Chapel & Cremation Service, LLC is in charge of Kay’s care and funeral arrangements.
Kay Lenore Glassburn, the daughter of Herbert Ross Jr. and Pauline Adele (Kerk) Glassburn, was born on December 30, 1950 in Sidney, NE. The family lived in the Lodgepole, Sunol and Sidney area. Kay graduated from Lodgepole High School with the Class of 1969. She attended and graduated with a degree in music from Chadron State College in 1973.
Kay was involved in 4-H and Choral groups while in High School. After graduating college, she taught American Youth Symphony and Chorus in Clearwater, NE. She returned to Nursing School in Scottsbluff graduating in 1981 and went to work as a traveling nurse and held various positions in Nebraska and Colorado.
Kay is survived by (1) sister-in-law: Trudi Glassburn, (2) nieces: Rebekah Harrington and Lindsey Syverson and (1) nephew: Ross Glassburn and numerous extended family members.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents: Herbert and Pauline Glassburn: and (1) brother: Larry Glassburn
