VELORA M. MORRIS

Velora M. Morris, 96, formerly of Sidney, passed away in Lewisville, Texas, Tuesday night, May 22, 2018.
A family memorial was held in Texas at 11:00 A.M., June 2, 2018. Memorial graveside inurnment will be held at 9:00 A.M., Thursday, June 7th in the Greenwood Cemetery in Sidney with Father Mike McDermott of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church officiating. Velora Mary Morris was born April 14, 1922 on a homestead in Medicine Bow, Wyoming, the daughter of Joseph and Clara Meick. She grew up in Sidney and graduated from St. Patrick’s Academy, in 1939. She moved to Texas in 2008 to live and be near her immediate family.
Velora is survived by her son Robert (Bob) and his wife Cyrena and their daughters Jody, Allison, Sara, and Jennifer, son Kenneth (Jim) and his children, Jessica, Melissa, Ashley, and Oliver, brother Joseph (Ozzie) Meick and his wife Patricia, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
