Obituary for Joshua Vincent Havorka

JOSHUA VINCENT HAVORKA

Joshua Vincent Havorka, age 30 of Sidney, NE passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018.
A private family Mass was held on Friday, May 11, 2018, in the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Mike McDermott officiating. Cremation has been held with inurnment at a later date. You may view Josh’s Book of Memories, leave condolences, photos and stories at www.gehrigstittchapel.com.
Gehrig-Stitt Chapel & Cremation Service, LLC is in charge of Josh’s care and funeral arrangements.
Josh was born August 23, 1987 in Sidney, NE to Vince Havorka and Tammie Barnes Havorka. Josh spent his school days in Lander, Wyoming where he graduated in 2005 and spent his summers in Lorenzo with his Dad.
Josh’s biggest passion was watching football, whether it was the Nebraska Cornhuskers or the Green Bay Packers. He was always willing to talk about his latest thoughts on the teams, games, recruits, or coaches.
Josh loved his family and friends. His infectious smile and fun-loving spirit served him well by allowing him to make friends where ever he went.
Survivors include his parents, Vince (Mary) Havorka, Tammie Havorka; Grandparents, Vince and Dee Havorka; Brothers, Brant (Deborah) Kunze; Trent (Bell) Kunze.
He is also remembered with love by his step sister, Stacey and her family Chad, Harper and Emersyn; step-brother, Jeremy and his family Marnellie, Jude and Clifford - Josh’s little buddy.
Josh had many cousins who will miss him; Mitch, Kristina, Hailey, Cody, Lance, Vanessa,
Nick, Jake, Brandi and Dane who were like brothers and sisters; numerous aunts and uncles and extended family members.
Josh is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Marlyn Barnes of Lander, Wyoming and his two cousins Erin Barnes and Connor Mercer.
In lieu of flowers or donations, Josh’s family asks that you take a moment to hug your child, grandchild, family and friends and remember time waits for no one.
