Obituary for Nancy P. Rankin

NANCY P. RANKIN

Nancy P. Rankin passed away on February 22, 2018 at her grandchildren’s home south of Lodgepole.
Nancy was born to Lawrence “Buck” Newton and Mary Cureton Newton on March 11, 1941. She was born in Boston, MA. Nancy went to school and graduated from Julesburg High School in 1959. In 1959 she married bud Rankin and they made their home on the ranch south of Lodgepole. They had two girls they raised on the ranch.
She loved her family, her flower gardens and playing the piano. She never met a piano she couldn’t make sing!
She leaves behind two daughters, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many extended family and friends. She will be missed terribly by her family and friends. Especially the music. Nancy did not want a funeral so we are honoring her wishes. She wanted to be remembered sitting at her piano. Thank you for your prayers at this time.
A huge thank you to Cheri Berry, RN, Laurie Dale, LPN, Marcel Currier, MSW and all the staff at SRMC Home Health and Hospice for their amazing, compassionate care given to Nancy and her family. Thank you to Dr. Mandy Shaw and her staff for the great care given and to Gordy Stitt and his staff for their compassion during this time. It’s all been appreciated so very much.
Gehrig-Stitt Chapel & Cremation Service, LLC is in charge of Nancy’s care and arrangements.
