Eva May (Bailey) Walker, was born on May 4, 1926 to Lude Lon Bailey and Gladys Alta (Runkle) Bailey in Atwood, KS. She attended school in Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Colorado. She was married to Silas G. Walker on June 24, 1944 in St. Francis KS. They farmed and ranched in the Sidney Draw until 1984 when they moved to Jacinto, NE. Eva moved back to the farm in 2000 after Silas passed away and remained there until her death. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, square-dancing and riding the four-wheeler.
Survivors include her (5) children: Dean and wife Margaret of Sidney; Jim and wife Ruth of Missoula MT; Shirley and husband Jeff Kasten of Potter and Dale and Gale Walker of Sidney; (14) grandchildren; (18) great-grandchildren; (3) great-great-grandchildren; brothers: Vet of Fort Collins, CO and Jet of Hugo, CO; sisters: Della Ayers of Topock, AZ, Iva Bolinger of Brush, CO and sister-in-law Wilma Bailey of Hugo, CO.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband Silas, parents, (4) brothers, Cleo, Alfred, Elden, and Ord Bailey, (1) son, Pete and (1) grandson Danta Walker.
