Lucille R. Irving, age 88 of Sidney, NE and former Alliance area resident, passed away at Sidney Regional Medical Center Extended Care Wednesday, May 3, 2017.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, May 9th with a Rosary Service at 10:00 A.M. Both services will be in the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sidney with Father
Jim Heithoff officiating. Inurnment will be in the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR at a later date. Memorials can be made in care of the family. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Monday to sign Lucille’s register book and drop off condolences for the family.

Lucille Rose Irving, the daughter of Joseph William and Christina (Nepper) Heitz, was born on September 25, 1928 at Angora, NE. She attended Saint Agnes Academy in Alliance. In January of 1957, Lucille was united in marriage to Charles Webster Irving in Alliance. Lucille enjoyed a forty year career with Bell Telephone Company. She loved cats, watching Lucy comedy, playing the piano, tap dancing, going to the casino and was honored to share her birthday with a granddaughter.
Survivors include: (1) daughter: Rosemarie Policky and husband Price of Astoria, OR; (2) grandchildren: Brandon Policky of Portland, OR and Desiree Policky of Seattle, WA; (2) great-granddaughters: twins Zoey and Kara Policky of Fallen, NV; (2) brothers: Robert Heitz and William Heitz and wife Patty all of Alliance; (3) sisters: Delores Schottler and husband Guy of Littleton, CO, Agnes Gies and husband Jack of North Platte, NE and Ruth Heitz and husband Tim of Denver, CO as well and numerous extended family members and friends.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, (1) sister: Margaret Prince and (1) sister-in-law: Melody Heitz.
