Jack B. Nienhuser, age 81 of Peetz, CO, entered into eternal life on Friday, March 17, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30, Thursday March 23rd in the Trinity Lutheran South Divide Church with Pastor Neil Carlson officiating. Burial will follow in the Trinity Lutheran South Divide Cemetery. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Wednesday from 1-7:00 with family present from 5-7:00. Memorial contributions may be made in Jack’s name to The Lutheran Hour Bott Radio, 660 Mason Ridge Center, St. Louis, MO 63141. Jack B. Nienhuser, the son of Louis Henry and Violet Mayme (Phelps) Nienhuser was born on September 23, 1935 in Sidney, NE. He attended Trinity Lutheran Parochial School through the eighth grade and graduated from Sidney High School in 1953. On November 26, 1955, Jack was united in marriage to Carole Dingman at First English Lutheran Church in Sterling, CO. The family moved to the farm in 1956 where they raised their four children and farmed together for sixty-one years.
Jack was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran South Divide Church where he served in many positions over the years. His love for his family and joy of farming “God’s Land” was secondary only to his Lifelong Love for the Lord.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Kenneth and Junior Louis.
Survivors include his wife: Carole of Peetz; (3) sons: Rick and wife Kathy of Greeley, CO, Joel and wife Dianna and Greg and wife Jodie all of Peetz; (1) daughter: Jill Luna and husband Joaquin of Fort Collins, CO; (1) sister: Emogene Davis and husband Carl of Oakhurst, CA; (9) grandchildren and (12) great-grandchildren.
