Sherrie was born March 28, 1961 to William R. and Myrna (Thompson) Trout in Scottsbluff, NE. The family moved around in the early years but eventually navigated back to Scottsbluff where Sherrie and her siblings attended school.
Later, Sherrie became a part of another family through foster care and attended school in Kimball, NE. Glen and Marlene Walker became Dad and Mom to her until the end. They held a very special place in Sherrie’s life and heart as did the rest of her family. Sherrie married Rocky Weaver. To this union two sons were born: Rocky Allan and Kevin DeLane. She and Rocky divorced. She and the boys forged on to make a new life. She later married Steve Savage to which another son, Steven Taft was born. They later divorced and moved to the next chapter in their lives. Sherrie chose a career in nursing and received her LPN to which her beautiful, generous heart contributed to the care of many. This career ended later with a back injury and the surgeries that followed.
Sherrie’s pride and joy were her three sons. Together they traveled through the valleys of life. In spite of the ups and downs, and difficult times, they laughed and found ways to enjoy life. There is a big river of love and compassion that flows through this family in spite of the hardships, twists and turns that came their way. Sherrie lived, laughed and loved until the last dance. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, William; and paternal and maternal grandparents.
Sherrie is survived by her (3) sons: Rocky (Francie) of Sidney, Kevin (Andrea) of Deming, NM and Steven (Brandon) of Sidney; her mother: Myrna Paulsen of Boerne, TX; foster parents: Glen and Marlene Walker of Kimball; siblings: Cindy Trout of Torrington, WY, William (Donna) Trout of Gering, NE, Sandra (Andrew) Macdonald of Boerne, TX, Susan (Bobby) Lockett of Boerne; (6) grandchildren; numerous extended family members and friends and her beloved fur baby: Dobbie.
