CHESTER L. BAUGHN

Chester L. Baughn, age 86 of Sidney, NE passed away in Sidney, Tuesday, January 10, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 17th in the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel with Morris Hartman officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home with cremation to follow. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Oklahoma. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 until service time. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family. Chester Leonard Baughn, the son of Charles Robinson and Mary Lee (Pfeiffer) Baughn, was born on March 6, 1930 at Altoona, KS. On February 3, 1951 Chester was united in marriage to Mildred Louise Underwood at Fredonia, KS. They made their home in Fredonia and Afton, OK. Chester was a member of the Midian Shrine, VFW, Eagles Lodge and enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include (1) daughter: Anita Pennel and husband Gerald of Sidney; (1) son: Dale Baughn and partner Andrew Driver of Wichita, KS; (1) brother: Richard Baughn and wife Judy of Wichita; (6) grandchildren: Dustin Baughn of Wichita, Shane Pennel and wife Tammie of Bernice, OK, Brandy Millwood and husband Raymond of Pueblo, CO, Leslie Merlino and husband Nick of Sidney, Kelton Pennel and wife Leslie of Edgewood, MD and Jessica Tustin and husband Scott of Iowa City, IA; (16) great-grandchildren: Jayden, Marcus and Elijah Baughn, Tanner and McCayla Pennel, Killian Millwood, Emmalea, Abbagale and Kole Bush, Kyra and Addy Pennel, Evan, Zachary and Brandon Tustin and many Nieces and Nephews.
Chester was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, (3) brothers: Thomas, Charles and Frank, (3) sisters: Bonnie, Louise and Bertie and (1) great-granddaughter: Isabella Sue Pennel.
