Condolence: "May you feel the comfort of God's arms around your hearts as you pass through this valley of tears and the pair of the loss of your dear father Mal. Many of us hold sweet memories of him and all the fun we had with him calling square dances for so many years."

Condolence: To the Family of Mal & Shirley (SAM) Minshall

I had the opportunity to know Mal and Sam through our mutual love of Square Dancing. When I was ready to take PLUS S.D. Lessons, I wanted a "Really Good" teacher. I found that in Mal. He was giving lessons in Gurley at the time. He was a very "thorough" teacher. His choreography was always fun and challenging.

In the Summer of 2010 my good square dance friend, Maxine Walker, and I visited (and interviewed) Mal and Sam in their home about their many years of Square Dancing and Calling. Together, Maxine and I wrote up the "Narrative" that was read when the Minshalls were inducted into the Nebraska Square and Round Dance Callers: HALL OF FAME (Sept. 2010.)

May you all have comfort in your loss of Mal and Sam in knowing that they both gave so much to others (like me) in Square Dancing !!

Sincerely,
Wes Mohler

Condolence: "What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget"

Condolence: I remember when I had just joined the Masonic Lodge, Mal was so welcoming. Mal instilled in me a love of the Craft, and a reverence for the ritual work. Mal was a wonderful friend, and beloved Brother. I can think of no better words than those in the Gospel of Matthew and the Entered Apprentice Degree: "Well done, good and faithful servant...Enter thou into the joy of thy Lord."

Condolence From: April
Condolence: I am still at a loss for words. We all knew that eventually this day would come. Grandpa you were the strongest man I've ever known. Always there with a loving hug, but always teaching us right from wrong when needed. I am only sorry I wasn't able to spend more time with you, and share more of my life with you. Time is something that you can never get back. I would give anything to hold your hand and tell you that I love you just one more time. I love you and know that no matter how much it hurts us here you and Grandma are together again, and watching the family you created continue to grow and flourish. I love you.

Love always
