He worked in every aspect of the construction industry, from running equipment to being a superintendent for complex job sites. Before his retirement Carl chose to run the piece of equipment he liked the best, a finish blade. Carl worked for many different companies and developed many great friendships throughout the years and they could always count on the occasional call on a weekend to talk about good old times.

Even though his work schedule was very demanding, Carl and his family spent almost every weekend fishing, hunting, camping, exploring the world or just spending quality time together. He was very dedicated to his family, was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Survivors include his wife Frances, daughter Carla Berges, sons Keith and Greg, Carla’s husband Bruce Berges and son Eric Berges, Carl’s sister Rosemary Matlock and numerous other family members.

He is preceded in death by his parents Adolph and Rosemary Lindner, his brothers Hans and William (Bill), sister Margaret Peeks, brother in laws Robert Peeks, Maynard Matlock and Robert Pittman and sisters in law Mary Bundy and Mable Willhaite.

Carl was an avid dog lover and he would appreciate any donations to the Chappell Animal Shelter located in Chappell, NE or a donation of your liking.
