DELORIS A. MYERS

Deloris A. Myers, age 87 of Sidney, NE and longtime Indianola, NE resident passed away at the Sidney Regional Medical Center, Friday, July 29, 2016.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M., Friday, August 5th in First United Methodist Church in Sidney with Pastor Eric Alm officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Thursday from 1-7:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family for future designation. Gehrig-Stitt Chapel & Cremation Service, LLC is in charge of Deloris’ care and funeral arrangements.
Deloris A. Myers, the daughter of John Fredrick and Elizabeth Marie (Hoefer) Grandt was born on September 13, 1928 at Hartington, NE. On June 2, 1955, Deloris was united in marriage to Robert S. Myers at Bassett, NE. To this union, three children were born, Patty, Sharon and Dennis. Deloris lived in Indianola, NE for forty years before moving to Gurley and then to Sidney.
She enjoyed family and friends, embroidery, crochet, cards, puzzles and television game shows.
Survivors include: (2) daughters: Patty Swayze of Sidney and Sharon Myers of Gurley; (1) son: Dennis Myers and wife Cheryl of Ogallala; (1) sister: Dorothy Schoonover of Sidney; (1) brother-in-law: Don Myers and wife Charlotte of Hamlet, NE; (6) grandchildren; (11) great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Deloris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Robert in 2013, (3) brothers: Donald, Fritz and Johnny, (1) sister: Lucille, brother-in-law: Dale Schoonover, sister-in-law: Arlene Richardson and grandson: Mark Swayze.
