Wilma was born 10/29/1925 in Giltner, NE to Henry and Henrietta (Croxen) Talich. After graduating from high school, she received a teaching certification and taught grade school for a short time before moving to Sidney, NE. There she met and married her sweetheart Lynn Folkerts on 11/5/1948. In addition to being a mother and housewife, she took some continuing education classes, including creative writing. She was a den mother for the cub scouts, worked as a waitress, a lab tech, and part time retail jobs. She loved to read and instilled that same love into her children. Wilma enjoyed all the small, yet delightful things in life, sunshine, peanut butter, chocolate and a good cup of coffee. She also enjoyed her flowers and spending time working crossword puzzles. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. We will cherish her memory.
The family would like to thank her special friend Nancy and her husband Chuck Liess for their care and support of Wilma. Also, we want to extend our thanks to the Staff @ Golden Living Center and to Hospice of Sidney for their care of Wilma.
