GLENN W. GEIGER
Glenn W. Geiger, age 84, longtime Sidney, NE and Lake McConaughy area resident passed away Monday morning, October 5, 2015 at Emerald Court in Scottsbluff, NE.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 16th in the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel in Sidney with Pastor Kelvin Boltjes officiating. Inurnment will follow at 2:00 P.M., in the Olivet Cemetery in Cheyenne, WY. Cremation has been held. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Thursday to sign Glenn’s register book and drop off condolences for the family. Glenn W. Geiger, the son of Walter and Irma (Wieford) Geiger, was born on December 21, 1930 in Milford, UT and attended Cheyenne Central School, Cheyenne, WY. Glenn was united in marriage to Donna Maddox at Kimball, NE. To this union three sons were born. Over the years, Glenn worked for National Tank, owned Vic Tone Cleaners and in 1974 he went into business with sons, Ed and David, creating Geigers’ Construction. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and living at Lake McConaughy following his retirement.
Survivors include his sons: Edwin Geiger and wife Lori of Sidney, Marty Geiger and wife Jeannie of Larkspur, CO and David Geiger and wife Judy of Lewellen, NE; grandchildren: Tony Geiger and wife Jennifer of Boise, ID, Stephanie Dishman and husband Eric of Lodgepole, NE, Brian Geiger and wife Sandra of Castle Rock, CO, Erik Geiger and wife Shannon of Fort Collins, CO, Hope Geiger of Lincoln, NE and Breanna Geiger of Hastings, NE; great-grandchildren: Diandra Geiger of Blue Springs, MO, Darrion Geiger of Greeley, CO, Marcus, Mason and Maddix Geiger of Boise, ID, Elena and Levi Dishman of Lodgepole, NE, Isabella and Giulianna Geiger of Castle Rock, CO, Kiera Geiger of Fort Collins, CO; great-great-grandchildren: Dammien and Drayton Geiger of Blue Springs, MO and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, (2) brothers: Don and Ken, (1) sister: Waunita Mattio and (1) grandson: Marty Geiger II.
