Melody J. Jung, age 51 of Potter, NE passed away at the Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Sunday, April 26, 2015.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 1st in the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Dave Hall officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Cremation has been held. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Thursday to sign Melody’s register book and leave condolences for the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church or the Potter Rescue Unit.

Melody Jane Jung, the daughter of Elmer Irvin and Ruby Lomila (Mitchell) Jung, was born on February 19, 1964 in Sidney. She attended the Potter Schools and graduated from Potter High School. Melody was a hard worker and had been employed at Buffalo Point, Our Place Restaurant, Cabela’s Distribution Center, Jack and Jill, was a housekeeper at a local motel, cleaned her church and helped with Meals on Wheels.
Melody will be remembered for her unique and infectious laugh and always had a smile for you. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, a dedicated Husker Fan, enjoyed playing the organ and became very close to her Cancer Support Group while courageously fighting her illness over the last several years.
Survivors include her parents: Elmer and Ruby Jung of Potter; her sister: Catherine Saali and husband William of Sidney; brothers: Jerry and Randy Jung of Potter and numerous extended family members and friends.
Melody was preceded in death by her fiancé: David Ogden and her grandparents: James and Selma Mitchell and George and Mabel Jung.
