Obituary for Kenlee D'Rose Turner
KENLEE D’ROSE TURNER
Kenlee D’Rose Turner, age 15 of Sidney, NE entered heaven on January 10, 2014 at 1:45 P.M.
Kenlee passed away of natural causes at Children’s Hospital in Denver, CO.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 18th in the Sidney Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Jim Gerhold of the Christian Life Center officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery north of Lodgepole. A celebration of life supper will follow at 4:00 P.M. at the Evangelical Free Church and the family welcomes all to attend.
Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Friday from 1-7:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.

Gehrig-Stitt Chapel & Cremation Service, LLC is in charge of Kenlee’s care and funeral arrangements.
Kenlee was born on August 2, 1998 in Paradise, CA. During labor and delivery she suffered a traumatic brain injury. Against medical advice she was taken home to be cared for by her parents. Kenlee’s life expectancy was only days but her resilience to thrive, fight for her life and exceptional care gave her the opportunity to minister and change lives in an unforgettable manor. Kenlee lived an inspirational life and touched many hearts by her amazing spirit. She grew up in a loving home with both of her parents and was awed by the presence of her brothers and sister. Kenlee was so loved as her family and nurses state, “it was an honor and a privilege to care for her”. She will be missed dearly.
Kenlee is survived by her parents: Ken and Tara Turner of Sidney; siblings: Brandon Turner age 24 of CA, Devany Turner age 14 and Dion Turner age 9 both of Sidney; her grandfather: Terry McGahan of Sidney; her grandmother: Kathleen Powell of Paradise, CA and many extended family members, caregivers and friends.
Kenlee was preceded in death by her grandmother: Barbara Hart Gerber of Lodgepole, NE and her grandfather: Richard D. Turner of Chico, CA.
