Obituary for Leonette M Virgil

Leonette M  Virgil
Leonette M. Virgil, age 46 of Sidney, NE, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 25, 2013 in Sidney.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 29th in the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Jim Gerhold, Pastor Floyd Virgil and Jamie Canas officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Cremation has been held. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Wednesday from 1-7:00 P.M. with the family present from 4-6. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family for future designation in Leonette’s name.

Leonette was born on October 18, 1966 in Denver, CO. She attended grade school and high school in Sidney, NE. She attended junior high in Sterling, CO. Leonette is the daughter of Rudy and Stella (Sandoval) Virgil.
Leonette was the beloved mother of a son and a daughter. She will always be remembered by her family and friends as being quiet and with a calm personality. She loved art. She received a medal in art during her high school years. Her art medium was in acrylic and Sharpie pens. Leonette also enjoyed horseback riding. She even rode her horse through the McDonald’s drive through window. Leonette worked as a waitress in her parents’ Virgil’s El Tacosito restaurants in Sterling, CO and Sidney. She also waited tables at Golden Corral in Sterling. Leonette helped her dad paint many houses in the Sidney area.
Leonette attended Faith Tabernacle in Merino, CO and Beacon of Light in Sidney, both non-denominational churches and Christian Life Center in Sidney. She loved listening to all styles of Christian music.
Leonette is survived by her son, William Ogle of Sidney; daughter, LeeAnn Ogle of Sidney; parents, Rudy and Stella Virgil of Sidney; sister, Mariette L. Canas of Sidney and fiancé Don Connelly also of Sidney.
