LINDA A. EVANS

Linda A. Evans, age 60 of Potter, NE passed away Wednesday morning, January 2, 2013 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, January 7th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 486 Toledo Street in Sidney with Bishop Siler officiating.
You may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Sunday from 5-7:00 P.M. and at the church on Monday morning from 9:00 A.M. until service time.

A funeral will be held in Mountain Green, Utah at the LDS Chapel at 4565 West, Old Highway Road at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, January 9th. Friends may attend a viewing there from 8:00 am until the funeral begins. Burial will take place in the Mountain Green Cemetery after the funeral. Please dress warmly.
Burial and funeral services will conclude in Morgan, UT.

Linda went home today after a long struggle with many health problems. Born in Provo, Utah to Mark Lee and Marylin Wilcox Angus, she died in rural Cheyenne County, Nebraska, surrounded by her family.
Growing-up in Roy, Utah, she graduated high school there in 1970. Linda received her BA in elementary education from Brigham Young University in 1974.
She was married to Brent Evans on Valentine’s Day in 1974 in the Salt Lake City Temple.
They are the parents of three children; Richard, Rachel (deceased), and Rebekah Wheeler. They are the proud grandparents of (soon-to-be), six children.
Linda taught school in Orem and Pleasant Grove, Utah before quitting to raise her children. She lived in Utah, Benton County, Arkansas, Estes Park, Colorado, and finally, Cheyenne County, Nebraska. For a short time, she worked as pianist for the high school choir in Sidney, Nebraska before being debilitated by complications of kidney failure.
Linda was always an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Over the years, she served in too many callings to mention here, including teaching groups of various ages, to being the president of the relief societies in two wards. She also served as the Public Affairs Director of the Springdale, Arkansas Stake.
She particularly enjoyed her short tenure as organist for the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Sidney, Nebraska where she made many wonderful friends.
She is survived by her husband, father, sister (Susan), brother (David), sister (Karen), and brother (Leland).
