Briel Adels, age 49 of Sidney, NE passed away early Sunday morning, July 1, 2012 at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, CO.
Cremation has been held.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, July 6th at the Sidney Elks Lodge with Reverend Leonard Suhr officiating. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Thursday to sign Briel’s register book and drop off condolences for the family
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in care of the family to help with funeral expenses.

Dorothy Briel Adels, the daughter of Billie Junior and Alana Lee (Sheets) Channel, was born on December 17, 1962 in Sidney. She moved often as her father was in the Military. Briel completed her education at Widefield, CO and worked several jobs in the Pottery and Telecommunications industry. On June 2, 2001, Briel was united in marriage to Jeff Adels at Las Vegas, NV.
Briel’s passion was her family, her pets and learning about old cars.
Survivors include her husband: Jeff of Sidney; (3) children: Steven Weegens of Colorado Springs, CO, Shane Carey of Sidney and Aleena Fuss and husband Steven also of Sidney; step-daughter: Jennifer (Robert) Sprague of Loveland, CO; her father: Billie J. Channel of Missouri; her parents-in-law: Jack and Edna Bruns of Sidney; her siblings: Bill Channel (Sherry Stansberry) of Kearney, NE, Barbra (Neil) Thompson of Dalton, Amanda Russell (Melissa Gitschel) of Scottsbluff, Bonnie (Ron) Leal, Becky (Matt) Sebold and John Sheets all of Sidney; sister-in-law: Robin (Chuck) Haupt of Sterling, CO; brother-in-law: Jason (Lisa) Bruns of Rapid City, SD; (1) granddaughter: KamBri Lynn Fuss and numerous extended family members and friends.
Briel was preceded in death by her mother, her brother: Bob, her grandparents: George and Leona Beck and Alva Channel and Josie Washburn and a sister-in-law: Cathleen Bruns.
