Jerry Ray  Van Natter
Jerry R. Van Natter, age 52 of Dalton, NE entered into eternal life to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday morning, June 26, 2012. Following a long battle with cancer, Jerry passed away at the Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff surrounded by his family.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, June 29th in the Sidney Evangelical Free Church with Brent Jeffers officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Oregon Trail Memorial Park Cemetery in Bridgeport, NE.
Cremation has been held. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Thursday from 1-7:00 P.M. with the family present from 5-7:00 P.M.
A memorial fund is being established in Jerry’s name.

Jerry Ray Van Natter, the son of Gerald R. and Susan (Kraft) Van Natter Starr, was born on March 18, 1960 at Sidney. Jerry spent all of his life in Sidney and the surrounding area. He graduated from Sidney High School in 1978 and worked many years for the City of Sidney, City of Potter, Potter Elevator and the past nineteen years at the Egging Company.
Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family, working in his yard and with his tree stumper, being at the lake and being a part of the Dalton community.
Survivors include his mother: Susan Starr and husband Dean of Sidney; step-mother: Roberta Burr of Sidney; (1) sister: Tamera Lane of Arvada, CO; (2) brothers: Gary Van Natter of Lincoln and Darin Van Natter (Sue Hiett) of Sidney; many extended family members and friends and his beloved companions, his dogs: Peaches and Sierra.
Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter: Sheila Renae Van Natter; his father: Gerald; his grandparents and very special friends: Tom Kliech and Glen Keenen.
